Hats off to the talented Alyssa Wichman and her hard working crew at Kauai Event Designs. Alyssa has creativity and beautifully crafted so many of my weddings with her florals, lighting and fun lounge furniture sets, I’ve lost count!
Alyssa shows up with her team and gets right to work, tirelessly rigging statement piece chandeliers, (I watch in absolute amazement, it requires such precision,!) hauling heavy wooden hand made bar structures and very cool and modern cement top tables, just to name a few of the unique pieces in her inventory, not to mention the truckloads of gorgeous flowers ready for the tables!
A few years ago Alyssa created a drop dead gorgeous wedding arch entirely covered with massive amounts of bougainvillea and garden roses. We were blown away by the artistry of the piece, and the photographer couldn’t stop taking pictures! Her fabric draping is also top notch, using unique twisting and wrapping techniques not found anywhere else on the island.
Alyssa’s friendly style of communication is always appreciated by my clients, and some even end up becoming her friends! We’ve had several quite lengthy 3 way consult calls with our brides, and Alyssa always gives straightforward, honest, and knowledgeable advice that puts them at ease.
