Kalee, being the epitome of a free-spirit, let her boho flag fly on her big day. The Army Pilot in Chris wanted a little more control...However, he relinquished the design reins over to Kauai Event Design and never looked back (except at dat fine booty of Kalee’s!)

We went over their inspo pictures, pulling elements into our design & creating a color palette that would work with the bridesmaids dresses etc. Next step was the priorities list - Ceremony was a priority. However, guest seating was not. We marked a clear aisle with live plants and large vases with matching florals so guests knew where to not stand and added a few benches for family and kapuna. 

Second priority was twinkle lights & a clear top tent - “We want allll the twinkles” Kalee said during one phone call. "You got it babe!"

Third Priority was the head table, so we used our concrete tables and created a lush floral garland with gold chargers, black flatware, and mustard napkins knotted (cause everything is better knotty ;)

Lower on the priority list were guest tables - although we still made everyone oooh and ahhh over our brass bowls with minimalist Dahlias and Protea ever holding the limelight.

We agreed the vibe should be a relaxed, party atmosphere for guests to chill, sip a Truly, and enjoy the incredible food Chris’ family prepared for the evening.

So we cut tables and added a cafe lit lounge heaven all throughout the property, with photo back-drop elements throughout.

Having a 400+ person local wedding can be difficult in more ways than one... We took a risk by using a 40x80 Clear Top, from Kauai Tent, and only having 22 guest tables. Chris & Kalee knew their guests.. and we knew if we reserved a few tables for family that most everyone else would be more happy lounging or perched on cocktail tables outside under the stars.

And we were right. 

At one point that evening, it even rained a bit. Did that stop their guests from having the best time of their lives? Not. One. Bit.

Between Bradda Z spitting hilarious jokes all night, the bands keeping everyone on the dancefloor, and the twinkle lights sparkling the night away - Chris & Kalee had the wedding they always dreamed of!

PLUS They flew in one of our favorite photographers all the way from Santa Barbara, Tessa Tadlock, whom shot the shit out of this wedding, I mean COME ON. Pinterest worthy is an understatement !
